James E. "Tiny" Freeman, 59, passed away April 10, 2012 following an illness. He is survived by his wife Peggy Freeman, daughter Tina Freeman, sons Louie, Joe and John Francks, brothers Wayne Freeman and his wife Sue, Danny Freeman and his wife Debbie, Frank Freeman and his wife Anna, Mark Melenkoff, sisters Donna Freeman and Cindy Melenkoff, grandchildren Samantha Guillori, Chelsea and Adrie Francks, Arie Minney, Jimmy Freeman and Bobby Birchenough along with several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, his first boss Gene Ploss and many other dear friends. Tiny was born June 3, 1952 in Worcester, son of Shirley (Whitney) and George Freeman. He was raised by his grandparents James and Lillian Whitney. Tiny began working at Lake Ripple Garage in Grafton at age 16 and remained there for many, many years. This began his life-long joy of working in the garage and with heavy equipment. He also worked at Worcester Sand & Gravel, Danserau, Larry Bourget and the Baldarelli brothers. Tiny also plowed snow in the winter for many years. He also loved building Lego sets, particularly with his grandsons Jimmy and Bobby. Always hard at work, people who knew Tiny will likely remember him at the garage, in a wrecker, or behind the wheel plowing snow. He will be greatly missed. Memorial donations to a trust for his family honoring Tiny may be sent to the James Freeman Memorial Fund c/o TD Bank 500 Grafton St. Worcester MA 01604. His family is requesting NO floral arrangements be sent due to an allergy of a member of his family. All are invited to calling hours for Tiny Sunday April 15th from 1 to 5pm at RONEY FUNERAL HOME 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton MA 01536. Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of his family.
