Irene M. (Vigeant) Richard, 88, passed away peacefully July 26, 2012 at Beaumont Nursing & Rehab in Northbridge. Her husband of 46 years, Ernest J. Richard, passed away in 1991. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, particularly Paul Vigeant and his wife Pam, Barbara Bugbee, and Elaine Marcoux. Her brothers Raymond, Clarence "Clay", Roland "Musty" and Norman Vigeant all predeceased her. Irene was born June 7, 1924 in Worcester, daughter of the late Mabel (Hervieux) and Elzear Vigeant. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester, and then worked for several years as a secretary at Mackoul's Fruit & Produce and then Wyman Gordon in Worcester. She lived for 50 years with her husband Ernie in North Grafton before recently moving to South Grafton. Those who knew Irene will remember how she loved to knit, crotchet, and travel by Winnebago on camping trips with friends with her husband Ernie. In lieu of flowers her family requests memorial donations to Salmon Hospice Care PO Box 935 Northbridge MA 01534.
CALLING HOURS & FUNERAL MASS
All are invited to a calling hour for Irene Monday July 30th from 9:30 to 10:30am at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N.Grafton MA 01536 followed by the celebration of her Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church 17 Waterville St. N.Grafton MA 01536.
