GRAFTON: Phyllis M. (Simon ) Keith, 90, passed peacefully at home August 9, 2012. Her husband of 61 years Edward M. Keith passed in 2005. She leaves her two sons, Edward "Mitch" Keith Jr. and his wife Mary of Cataumet and Joseph W. Keith and his wife Margaret of Stratham NH; Three grandchildren, Patricia Baione, Robert and Sarah Keith; One great granddaughter, Jocelyn Baione and five nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Noami White and Hannette Wohlander and one nephew. Mrs. Keith was born September 29, 1921 in The Wollaston neighborhood of Quincy the daughter of the late Frederick and Hannette ( Kimmick ) Simon. She was raised in Braintree, lived in Barrington RI, Worcester and Bridgewater coming to Grafton in 1968. She graduated from Braintree High School in 1938 and then Bridgewater State College in 1942 earning her BA in education. Phyllis was an active member of The Congregational Church of Grafton serving on many committees and as former President of its Grafton Thrift Shop. She also was a member of The Grafton Garden Club and she volunteered at Worcester Memorial Hospital for nine years. Phyllis enjoyed playing bridge, scrabble, painting oil portraits, doing crosswords and she was an avid Boston sports fan. The family asks that in lieu of flowers you remember her with memorial donations to The Congregational Church of Grafton 30 Grafton Common, Grafton MA 01519.
FUNERAL & CALLING HOURS
Funeral services are Tuesday August 14th at 10 AM at The Congregational Church of Grafton, 30 Grafton Common, Grafton Ma 01519. She will then be laid to rest with her beloved husband Ed at Mt. Prospect Cemetery in Bridgewater. All are invited to calling hours Monday August 13th from 4 to 7 PM at The Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. North Grafton MA 01536
