GRAFTON: Gertrude E. (Lavallee) Hetu, 85 passed away peacefully February 19, 2010 after a short illness. She is survived by her husband Joseph, and daughters, Dolores Braley, Debbie Mitchell, Linda Doherty and her husband David. Her life was enriched by her beloved grandchildren Michelle Henderson and her husband Scott, Jeffrey Doherty, Christine Doherty and Jacquelyn and Christopher Mitchell. Her final years were made more joyous by her great grandchildren Ryan Henderson and Amanda and Brett Doherty. The family wishes to extend grateful appreciation to the staffs at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital and The Christopher House for their sensitive, attentive care to Mrs. Hetu. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to The Quinsigamond School Accelerated Reader Program 14 Blackstone River Road Worcester MA 01607 in lieu of flowers.
Funeral Arrangements:
A Funeral Mass (Memorial) will be celebrated Saturday February 27th at 10 am in St. Mary’s Catholic Church 17 Waterville St. in North Grafton. She will be laid to rest privately. Funeral arrangements are in the care of The Roney Funeral Home in North Grafton.
